Texas Tech football’s Thomas Castellanos ruled out for Colorado game after dissolved injunction ruling

Texas Tech quarterback Thomas Castellanos has been ruled out for the upcoming game against Colorado. The decision follows a legal development where a temporary injunction regarding eligibility for the 2022 class was dissolved by the Kentucky Court of Appeals, though attorneys indicate he could potentially maintain status if he avoids professional involvement.

Castellanos has played in four contests this year in a flexible role, accumulating modest passing and rushing statistics. The university and the athlete plan to assess his remaining availability moving forward.
