Team USA Coach Makes Clear Angel Reese Choice

Team USA head coach Kara Lawson recently shared her high praise for Angel Reese during an appearance on Sue Bird's podcast. Lawson noted that she has rarely enjoyed working with a player as much as the Atlanta Dream forward, specifically highlighting Reese's competitive drive, daily focus, and commitment to team success.

This endorsement follows a successful 2026 FIBA World Cup campaign in Berlin where the United States secured gold with an undefeated 6-0 record, culminating in a 97-79 victory over France. Both Reese and Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark contributed off the bench during the tournament, with Clark averaging 7.8 points and Reese adding 7.2 points per game.
