The Chicago Bulls honored the memory of their late broadcaster and former player Stacey King during their season opener against the Toronto Raptors. Play-by-play announcer Adam Amin delivered a heartfelt video tribute to King, who passed away in June at age 59.
To mark the occasion, the broadcast team left King's seat vacant for the first quarter, placing a crown and a playing card in the chair as a symbolic gesture. Following the opening period, Robbie Hummel joined the broadcast to provide color commentary for the remainder of the game.
