Tank, Eagles tank? Reeling Philadelphia on verge of entering Jeremiah Smith sweepstakes

The Philadelphia Eagles have slumped to a 2-5 record following a 38-21 defeat against the Dallas Cowboys, marking their longest losing streak since 2016. With quarterback Jalen Hurts sidelined by a blood clot and key offensive weapons Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith dealing with hamstring injuries, the team faces a difficult path forward.

Tanner McKee struggled in his second start, while the defense allowed 155 rushing yards to Javonte Williams and failed to record a sack against Dak Prescott. If the team continues to falter, analysts suggest they could pivot toward securing a high draft pick, potentially targeting Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, who currently leads the FBS with 984 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns.
