College Football Freshman on Track to Surpass Jeremiah Smith's 15-TD Debut Season

Oregon State rookie wide receiver Jesse Legree is enjoying a historic campaign that threatens the freshman touchdown record previously set by Jeremiah Smith. Through his first seven contests, Legree has accumulated forty-six receptions, one thousand forty yards, and fourteen touchdowns, putting the Beavers at a five and two record under first-year coach JaMarcus Shephard.

Additionally, Legree has earned twenty-one to one odds to win the Heisman Trophy, ranking him fifth nationally in those markets behind competitors such as Smith, Darian Mensah, Trinidad Chambliss, and CJ Carr.
