Sunil Gavaskar has publicly endorsed Laxman Sivaramakrishnan for a spin-bowling coaching position within the Indian Premier League. The former India captain praised the 60-year-old for his analytical approach to the sport and his technical expertise, suggesting his guidance would be an asset to emerging domestic talent.
Sivaramakrishnan, who represented India in nine Tests and 16 ODIs, recently reached out to Lucknow Super Giants owner Sanjiv Goenka via social media to express his interest in a coaching role. During his playing career, the leg-spinner achieved notable success, including a six-wicket haul against England in 1984.
