Golden State Warriors stars Stephen Curry and Yaxel Lendeborg made a surprise appearance at Game 2 of the WNBA Finals, showing support for the Golden State Valkyries in their quest for the franchise’s first championship. The Valkyries, led by head coach Natalie Nakase, took a 1-0 series lead after defeating the Atlanta Dream 68-64 in Game 1, and now hold a 1-0 advantage heading into Game 2.
The Warriors’ presence underscores the deep connection between the two teams, as Warriors owner Joe Lacob also owns the Valkyries and has been instrumental in their development since their expansion in 2025. Curry and Lendeborg join a growing list of Warriors players who have attended Valkyries games, including Brandin Podziemski, who frequently sits courtside during the season.
The series will shift to the Dream’s home court for Games 3 and 4 following tonight’s matchup.
