Steelers predictions: Big years for DK Metcalf, Derrick Harmon - but no playoff win
Ahead of their 2026 campaign opener against the Atlanta Falcons, projections suggest the Pittsburgh Steelers could see standout individual performances from DK Metcalf and Derrick Harmon, even if postseason victory ultimately eludes the squad. Veteran signal-caller Aaron Rodgers has backed Metcalf to maintain his distinct playing style amid roster adjustments, coming off a challenging debut year with the franchise.
The roster also anticipates the on-field debut of Michael Pittman Jr., who spent much of the preseason sidelined by injury.
Now guided by Mike McCarthy, Pittsburgh enters Week 1 facing an Atlanta squad led by Kevin Stefanski. Crucial storylines for the contest highlight Rodgers, Jaylen Warren, and T.J. Watt, along with the perimeter duel between Metcalf and cornerback A.J. Terrell.
