Patrick Mahomes to get more tests on right elbow after Sunday's injury

Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes is scheduled for additional medical evaluations following a right elbow injury sustained during Sunday's 35-12 victory over New York. The signal-caller took a hit from defender David Bailey late in the first half, causing him to briefly exit the contest while experiencing discomfort.

Despite the scare, Mahomes returned to the field and successfully guided his team to 21 points throughout the third quarter. He concluded the afternoon with 242 passing yards and two touchdowns on 23-of-31 attempts.

Mahomes noted that while he struggled with his mechanics immediately following the impact, he remains optimistic that the issue is muscular rather than ligament-related.
