Swedish striker Smilla Sundell secured a UFC contract after defeating Aline Pereira in a women’s bantamweight bout at the final episode of Dana White’s Contender Series Season 10. The victory came via unanimous decision, marking Sundell’s first professional win and earning her a spot in the promotion.
The match took place on October 13, 2026, at Meta Apex in Las Vegas, where four fighters were awarded UFC deals following the season finale. Sundell’s performance stood out as she outstruck Pereira throughout the contest, despite doubts surrounding her prospects before the fight.
The result also denied Pereira, sister of former UFC two-division champion Alex Pereira, a UFC contract for now. Dana White, UFC president, signed all four winners to contracts after the event, which aired live on Paramount+.
