Brooklyn Nets rookie Mikel Brown Jr. returned from a left ankle sprain to make his preseason debut against the Miami Heat, logging 18 minutes off the bench.
The No. 6 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft finished with 15 points on 4-of-7 shooting, including two three-pointers, along with three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
Brown, who had missed the team's first three preseason games, also went 5-for-5 from the free-throw line and capped his performance with a steal and a two-handed dunk in the fourth quarter. Despite his individual effort, the Nets fell to Miami 144-128, dropping to 3-1 in the preseason.
The team will now prepare for their regular-season opener against the Charlotte Hornets on October 21.
