Skylar Diggins revealed she played an entire WNBA season pregnant, and didn't get credit: "I didn't tell a soul"

During a standout 2018 campaign, WNBA guard Skylar Diggins achieved All-Star honors and an All-WNBA Second Team selection while carrying her team to the postseason as an eighth seed. Although the Dallas Wings fell in the opening round to the Phoenix Mercury by a score of 101-83 despite her team-high 23 points, an even bigger revelation emerged months later when she disclosed she had played the entire year while pregnant.

Opting to keep the pregnancy hidden to protect her financial standing under previous league agreements, she later spoke out about facing postpartum depression and lacking organizational backing from her franchise, which fueled her advocacy for sweeping maternity improvements in the updated 2020 collective bargaining agreement.
