Skubal cruises with 7 scoreless in final regular-season start

Tarik Skubal delivered a dominant final regular-season performance for the Dodgers on Friday night, tossing seven scoreless innings with ten strikeouts and only three hits allowed at Oracle Park. Despite maintaining a low pitch count that could have permitted a complete game effort, manager Dave Roberts turned the ball over to Roki Sasaki in the eighth inning to keep the reliever on schedule for upcoming playoff duties.

Tanner Scott subsequently secured the final three outs to preserve a 2-0 shutout over the Giants, marking the 98th victory of the campaign for Los Angeles.
