Shubman Gill joins India's T20I squad in Auckland before 4th NZ match

Shubman Gill has arrived in Auckland to link up with the Indian T20I squad ahead of their fourth match against New Zealand. He was joined at the training session by KL Rahul and Gurnoor Brar, while other players like Abhishek Sharma and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi also participated in the optional practice.

Gill held discussions with head coach Gautam Gambhir as he prepares to lead the team in the upcoming ODI series. Following the first three matches of that five-game series, Gill will step down from the captaincy to focus on Test preparations, with Shreyas Iyer taking over the leadership role for the final two ODIs alongside vice-captain Ishan Kishan.
