
Indian spinner N. Shree Charani has climbed to 817 rating points in the latest ICC Women's T20I Bowling Rankings, eclipsing the previous benchmark of 806 established by Australia's Megan Schutt back in November 2018.
During a successful period that included gold medal success at the Asian Games in Japan and an eighth Asia Cup title, Shree Charani delivered notable performances such as a four-wicket haul against the host nation and a matching figures of 4/20 against Sri Lanka. Teammate Deepti Sharma also advanced in the bowling standings to secure the second spot with 754 points after taking three wickets for six runs in the Asian Games final.
In the batting department, Smriti Mandhana re-entered the top five following a 79-run knock in the final, a match where she also reached 11,000 international runs and surpassed Suzie Bates as the leading run-scorer in women's T20I cricket. Meanwhile, Hayley Matthews delivered a stellar performance during the opening ODI against Zimbabwe in Harare, accumulating 182 runs from 156 deliveries to help boost her standing in the rankings.
