Shrader’s heroics lifts Colts past Texans, snapping NFL’s worst losing skid

Spencer Shrader propelled the Indianapolis Colts to a thrilling 19-17 victory over the Houston Texans at Lucas Oil Stadium, snapping a nine-game winless skid dating back to last October and a five-game drought against their divisional opponents. Shrader converted all four of his field goal attempts, including a career-long 58-yard kick before halftime and a game-winning 53-yarder with just 16 seconds remaining on the clock.

Houston had briefly captured a 17-16 lead late in the fourth quarter when Woody Marks powered into the end zone, but Daniel Jones immediately orchestrated a crucial response by connecting with Laquon Treadwell and Keenan Allen to drive into field goal range.
