Serena Williams’ Coach Firmly Dismisses Calls For Alex Eala To Play WTA Finals Despite Not Qualifying: “Stan Culture At Its Best”

Rennae Stubbs has publicly criticized social media campaigns advocating for Alex Eala to receive a spot in the WTA Finals. The coach emphasized that tournament qualification is strictly merit-based, noting that even former top-ranked players like Iga Swiatek missed the cut for the year-end competition.

Meanwhile, Eala is currently participating in the Ningbo Open, where she recently defeated Diane Parry in straight sets. The Filipino athlete is now preparing for a second-round match against Diana Shnaider.
