September 28 schedule: Manu Bhaker, Avinash Sable and cricket in focus

The Indian delegation prepares for a busy day of competition on September 28 at the Asian Games, sitting twelfth on the medal leaderboard with a total of thirty-seven medals. Shooter Manu Bhaker aims to rebound from a fifth-place finish in the ten-meter event by contesting the twenty-five-meter pistol rapid stage alongside teammates Esha Singh and Rahi Sarnobat.

Meanwhile, defending champion Avinash Sable prepares to defend his crown in the three-thousand-meter steeplechase following a lengthy recovery from a serious knee injury. Additional medal hopefuls like Murali Sreeshankar and Parul Chaudhary will also feature in track and field finals, while the men's cricket team gears up to face Afghanistan in the quarter-finals after previously edging past Japan in a rain-reduced warm-up fixture.
