Sean Payton will resume calling offensive plays for Broncos

Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton is reclaiming play-calling duties from offensive coordinator Davis Webb starting with this weekend's matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. The decision follows a series of inconsistent offensive performances, including a Week 1 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs where the team managed only 176 total yards and a recent defeat to the San Francisco 49ers.

Payton aims to stabilize the offense ahead of a critical Week 6 prime-time game against the Seattle Seahawks. This shift comes as the team looks to recover from a difficult start to the 2026 season compared to their 14-3 record from the previous year.
