Following a tight 30-26 defeat to the Denver Broncos that dropped his squad to a 1-2 record, Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay declined to complain about a decisive late pass interference penalty against cornerback Josh Wallace. The penalty erased what would have been a game-sealing interception deep in Rams territory and enabled quarterback Bo Nix to lead a game-winning touchdown drive for Denver.
In his media comments, McVay stressed that his team had ample earlier chances to seal the victory and firmly rejected making excuses for the outcome.
Looking ahead to their upcoming Sunday matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Rams face several injury concerns. Cornerback Jaylen Watson suffered a dislocated right shoulder and tight end Terrance Ferguson sustained an ankle sprain, with both players expected to miss the contest, while Colby Parkinson's shoulder issue will be re-evaluated during the week.
Meanwhile, wide receiver Puka Nacua worked through an extended on-field workout prior to the Denver game, leaving McVay optimistic that the injured wideout could return to action this weekend.
