Seahawks turn to practice squad with both starting safeties out against Commanders

The Seattle Seahawks face a major depth test in their secondary for an early road contest against the Washington Commanders due to multiple injuries. Starter Julian Love remains sidelined with a calf problem, Ty Okada continues to recover from a hamstring issue, and Nick Emmanwori is still limited following offseason ankle surgery.

To shore up the defensive backfield, the coaching staff pulled Maxen Hook up from the practice squad alongside running back Velus Jones. Rodney Thomas is projected to make his third consecutive start after shifting from the practice squad to the active roster earlier in the week.
