Jammu and Kashmir fast bowler Rohit Sharma made a successful return to First-Class cricket after a two-year absence caused by severe leg injuries. During his comeback match in the Ranji Trophy against Madhya Pradesh, he claimed five wickets for 36 runs.
This performance marks his second career fifer in the format. The pacer continues to manage his career despite having surgical screws in his landing foot, a consequence of an Achilles tendon rupture and a heel bone fracture that required extensive rehabilitation.
He credited his ability to remain connected with his teammates during his recovery for helping him maintain the resolve to return to the sport.
