Same creed, different results: Wyoming’s passing game hunts for its 1/11th

Wyoming head coach Jay Sawvel is demanding better execution from his squad after a 28-0 shutout loss to North Dakota State. Despite implementing a new offensive scheme under coordinator Christian Taylor and quarterback Tyler Hughes, the Cowboys are struggling significantly, ranking near the bottom of the FBS in scoring and total yardage.

The team currently holds a 2-3 record and faces a difficult road test against San Jose State, where coach Ken Niumatalolo is emphasizing a similar philosophy of individual accountability. Wyoming has now lost eight consecutive games away from home, hampered by a turnover-prone offense and a lack of production in the passing game.
