West Indies bowling coach Ravi Rampaul has identified a recurring issue with his team's batting, noting that the squad frequently loses multiple wickets in quick succession. Ahead of the second T20I, Rampaul emphasized that senior players like Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer must anchor the innings to prevent such collapses, which proved costly during the series opener where the team slipped from 38-0 to 44-3 and later 107-3 to 135-8.
Rampaul also addressed the struggles of his bowling attack, attributing their inconsistent execution to a lack of international experience within the young group.
