Rutgers football’s AJ Surace named starting QB for Michigan clash despite previous benching

Rutgers will turn to AJ Surace at quarterback for their upcoming matchup against Michigan because Dylan Lonergan remains sidelined with an injury sustained during a recent loss to Northwestern. Even though Surace was pulled in favor of Sean Ashenfelder during the second half of that previous game, he is getting another chance to lead the offense while carrying season totals of 539 yards and six touchdowns.

Additionally, wide receiver KJ Duff is listed as a game-time decision due to an injury, leaving his team with a major question mark regarding their primary passing target as kickoff approaches.
