Russo hits winner as Arsenal end winless run at Spurs

Arsenal secured a vital 2-1 victory against Tottenham in the north London derby, snapping a five-match winless streak in the Women's Super League. Cathinka Tandberg opened the scoring for the hosts with a header, but Georgia Stanway quickly leveled the match for the visitors.

Following a second-half penalty awarded for a handball by Ella Morris, Alessia Russo converted the spot-kick to seal the comeback win. The result provides a significant boost for head coach Renée Slegers, despite a late disallowed goal from Shekiera Martinez that kept the scoreline intact.
