Royal Desert Champions bank on bowling for Abu Dhabi T10 debut

The Royal Desert Champions are preparing for their inaugural T10 campaign with a strategic focus on bowling depth. Team director Robin Singh, a two-time tournament winner, has assembled a roster featuring Nicholas Pooran as captain, alongside Phil Salt, Sherfane Rutherford, Naseem Shah, Maheesh Theekshana, Dushmantha Chameera, Chris Jordan, and Luke Wood.

Owner Amit Narang aims to establish a lasting legacy for the franchise through a fearless approach to the game.

The competition, now managed by the Abu Dhabi Cricket & Sports Hub, is scheduled to take place from November 7 to 20. Singh believes that while batting depth is useful, the ability of bowlers to execute under pressure will be the deciding factor in the 10-over format.
