Ollie Robinson has capped his international comeback by securing the England cricketer of the year accolade following a stellar summer with the ball. The 32-year-ol d fast bowler collected the Bob Willis trophy at the Vitality Cricket Media Club Awards after claiming 28 wickets across four Test matches against Pakistan and New Zealand at a remarkable average of 9.32.
Having spent over two years out of the national setup, Robinson expressed his gratitude for the special recognition and is now expected to feature heavily in upcoming red-ball tours to Bangladesh and South Africa, alongside a historic appearance at Melbourne. At the same event, Middlesex fast bowler Naavya Sharma was honored as the young cricketer of the year following an impressive breakout campaign.
