Rico Dowdle misses practice
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Rico Dowdle avoided a severe outcome after suffering a toe injury that required him to be carted to the locker room during Sunday's game against the New England Patriots. Following the Week 2 scare, NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that Dowdle is expected to be fine moving forward, bringing positive news to the organization as they prepare for their upcoming Week 3 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Even with the encouraging medical assessment, speculation has circulated regarding potential roster moves, with some external analysts suggesting the franchise explore acquiring running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. to provide depth while Dowdle handles his recovery.
Additionally, teammate and offensive tackle Troy Fautanu was observed wearing a walking boot following the conclusion of the contest against New England.
