Reinsdorf taking in special White Sox playoff run no one saw coming

White Sox chairman Jerry Reinsdorf is relishing an unexpected postseason run after watching his young squad celebrate a playoff advancement in Houston. Reinsdorf humorously recalled the skepticism surrounding his appointment of Chris Getz as general manager back in August 2023, following a franchise-record 121-loss campaign in 2024.

Accompanied by his sons Michael and Jonathan, Reinsdorf noted that this improbable success feels even sweeter than the 2005 championship because only the players believed they could win. The club now prepares to face the Guardians in the AL Division Series after finishing just one game shy of the division crown.
