Real Madrid set to appoint tennis great Nadal to board

Real Madrid has announced plans to add tennis icon Rafael Nadal to their leadership team. The 40-year-old, who captured 14 French Open titles during his career, has been a club member since 2011 and maintains a close connection with the organization's leadership.

Club members are scheduled to vote on confirming his appointment during a general assembly meeting on November 21. Following the announcement, the 22-time Grand Slam champion expressed his enthusiasm for the opportunity to assist the club in its future endeavors.

While he previously expressed interest in the presidency, he has recently clarified that he is not currently seeking that position. Florentino Perez remains in charge of the club after securing a victory over Enrique Riquelme in the most recent election cycle.
