Readers lavish praise on Tennessee football; one rejects my 'optimism' | Adams

Following a 26-10 triumph over Alabama that built upon a narrow seven-point win against Arkansas the prior week, Tennessee football drew mixed reactions from readers. One fan praised coach Josh Heupel for pivoting from a 2022 up-tempo approach to a ground-and-pound style and stout defense, while another reader pushed back against calling the Vols the SEC's best team, viewing them as flawed despite their record.

Other commentary debated whether quarterback George MacIntyre should have started earlier in the season.
