Ravens' Zay Flowers injury update as WR exits stellar opener against Colts

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers put together a historic opening half in Sunday's Week 1 contest against the Indianapolis Colts before being designated as questionable to return due to an injured hamstring. Prior to exiting, Flowers amassed 150 receiving yards on five catches, establishing a new personal career best.

His dominant showing included a 49-yard reception that paved the way for a Lamar Jackson five-yard rushing touchdown to gain a 7-6 edge, followed by a 54-yard scoring strike from Jackson that stretched Baltimore's advantage to 21-6.

With that 150-yard display over the first two quarters, the two-time Pro Bowler secured his tenth career 100-yard outing, equaling Mark Andrews for the highest total in franchise history. Flowers had fully taken part in Friday's practice despite nursing the hamstring issue throughout the week, ultimately gaining clearance alongside Indianapolis receiver Alec Pierce.

His departure further tested Baltimore's passing depth, as rookie receiver Ja'Kobi Lane was already sidelined due to a wrist ailment, leaving the team depleted across three of their top four receiving options.
