Jharkhand dominated the opening days of their Ranji Trophy fixture against Kerala, putting together a massive total of 587 in their first innings before finally being dismissed near the close of the second day. The strong position was built largely through a record sixth-wicket partnership between Aditya Singh and captain Virat Singh, who both recorded centuries on a flat pitch at the Keenan Stadium.
Aditya compiled 147 runs from 278 balls for his maiden first-class hundred, while Virat contributed 108 runs from 264 deliveries before falling to Vaisakh Chandran.
