Ravindra Jadeja’s all‑round display continued on day three of the Ranji Trophy opener as the Saurashtra left‑hander added a three‑for haul (3‑40) after his earlier century, pushing his side into a commanding position. Karnataka’s KL Rahul was dismissed for just one run in the second innings, while teammate Karun Nair steadied the chase with an unbeaten 81.

Elsewhere in Group B, Tanay Thyagarajan claimed six wickets (6‑52) to help Hyderabad bowl out Tripura by an innings, and Vihaan Malhotra’s 103 guided Punjab to 287‑5 against Assam’s 373. In Group A, Zeeshan Ansari’s 4‑40 featured in Uttar Pradesh’s massive 540 total that overwhelmed Bihar, and Mahesh Pithiya’s 5‑58 set up Baroda’s 273‑run first‑innings lead over Goa.
