The UFC has announced its broadcast lineup for *UFC Fight Night 291*, with former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Julianna Peña making a highly anticipated return to combat sports. Peña, who last competed in the UFC before losing her title to Kayla Harrison, will now step into the ring for a wrestling match following her UFC title loss.
Meanwhile, the event will feature a main card headlined by Joaquin Buckley and Mike Malott, set to take place at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The broadcast team will also welcome Aiemann Zahabi as a guest analyst for the first time, adding depth to the coverage on Paramount+.
Off the card, UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland continues to face scrutiny after publicly expressing dissatisfaction with his contract and potential crossover into boxing. Dana White has dismissed Strickland’s interest in facing Zuffa Cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia, calling the idea unappealing.
Meanwhile, former UFC heavyweight Alex Pereira has raised concerns about perceived manipulation in the organization’s efforts to promote Ciryl Gane’s title shot against Josh Hokit, adding to the ongoing narrative of internal tensions.
