Ranji Trophy 2026/27: In-form Bengal takes on Maharashtra in aim to solidify top spot

Bengal prepares to host Maharashtra in an upcoming Ranji Trophy Elite Group-C clash as the group leader seeks to extend its strong start to the season. The home side enters the contest with eighteen points following three outright victories, while the visiting squad sits second in the standings with twelve points.

Bengal expects to utilize a lineup featuring Mohammed Shami alongside batters like Sudip Gharami and Abishek Porel, while Maharashtra relies heavily on the batting contributions of Ankit Bawne and captain Prithvi Shaw. Both teams will aim to secure maximum points on a sporting pitch before the upcoming break, despite a potential rain threat.
