Rams catch massive break as Eagles QB Jalen Hurts left to embody famous Will Smith meme

The Los Angeles Rams are catching an early-season scheduling break as they prepare for a difficult road game, with Philadelphia Eagles star pass catcher DeVonta Smith unlikely to suit up due to an ongoing hamstring issue. Adding to the offensive concerns for Philadelphia, tight end Dallas Goedert remains unavailable following an MCL sprain, leaving quarterback Jalen Hurts to rely on a depleted group of targets that includes Dontayvion Wicks and rookie Makai Lemon.

Conversely, Los Angeles received an encouraging update regarding wide receiver Puka Nacua, who is currently tracking to participate in the upcoming contest. Head coach Sean McVay will look to improve his historical record against the Eagles when the two squads meet at Lincoln Financial Field, though the visitors must navigate their own defensive absences involving Jaylen Watson, Aaron Donald, Nate Landman, and Poona Ford.
