Rafael Jodar can no longer eclipse impressive Boris Becker record after losing the Shanghai Masters final

Alejandro Davidovich Fokina secured his inaugural ATP Masters 1000 championship by overcoming a deficit to defeat Rafael Jodar in the Shanghai Masters final. The result prevented Jodar from surpassing a long-standing record previously held by Boris Becker.

This match marked the first time in nine years that two Spanish players competed against each other in a Masters 1000 final. Following the defeat, Jodar expressed satisfaction with his total effort on the court despite missing out on the title.
