Puma is launching the Fast-RB Nitro Elite 2 on October 28, a performance shoe engineered for maximum efficiency that falls outside World Athletics competition standards. The footwear utilizes a dual carbon-fiber plate system and updated Nitrofoam Elite cushioning to generate significant energy return, while the upper is constructed from lightweight Ultraweave material.
Romain Girard, the brand's VP of Innovation, noted that the design focuses on pushing technological boundaries through a two-year development cycle. While the shoe is intended for high-performance use with a lifespan of approximately 320 kilometers, its non-compliant status makes it an experimental model rather than a standard racing option.
