Former Indian swing bowler Praveen Kumar has officially put forward his candidacy for an opening on the national junior selection panel. Having hung up his boots in 2018, the thirty-nine-year-old aims to channel his prior coaching background and administrative tenure with the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association toward national youth development.
Several other former internationals have likewise thrown their hats into the ring for the five available zonal positions, which will succeed the current panel led by S Sharath. Among the notable applicants are Sudeep Tyagi and Ashish Winston Zaidi from the Central Zone, alongside Ramesh Powar and Manoj Joglekar representing the West Zone.
