Peterborough appoint Forest Green boss Savage

Peterborough United have named Robbie Savage as their new manager in a surprising move following two years of stagnation. Savage takes over a squad currently positioned in twenty-third place in League One, having managed only four league goals during the current campaign and just two across their previous twenty-three matches dating back to the previous season following player sales and unconvincing summer recruitment.

The new boss faces immense pressure regarding job stability at the club, where recent predecessors like Luke Williams, Grant McCann, and Steve Evans all failed to reach a full year in charge, with only Darren Ferguson previously enjoying long-term security. Savage steps up from his previous post at Forest Green to inherit a daunting challenge as he attempts to turn around the struggling side.
