Penn State football fans are finding steep discounts on White Out game tickets this week, with prices plummeting amid a dismal start to the season. The cheapest resale tickets have dropped to as low as $76 on Ticketmaster, a 60% decrease from last week and a 75% decline since late August, when the lowest available price was $350.
Over 2,200 resale tickets remain unsold, including some verified Penn State tickets starting at $140. The Nittany Lions, now 0-2 in Big Ten play, are facing their first White Out game with a losing record since 2016, a stark contrast to last year’s attendance record of 111,015 against Oregon, when some tickets topped $1,000 in resale markets.
The price drop accelerated after a 34-13 loss at Northwestern, with coach Matt Campbell framing the struggles as an opportunity for growth, emphasizing the team’s resilience despite the early-season setbacks. Campbell praised the loyal fanbase, noting their support through both good and tough times, while acknowledging the need for collective improvement moving forward.
