Bowl Projections 2026: Week 5

Analysts have released their latest postseason projections for the Nittany Lions following the fifth week of the 2026 campaign. Yahoo Sports and Sports Illustrated anticipate a trip to Nashville for the Music City Bowl against Kentucky on December 30.

Meanwhile, CBS Sports suggests a December 26 matchup in New York for the Pinstripe Bowl versus Virginia. ESPN experts Bonagura and Schlabach offer split possibilities, pointing toward either a Music City Bowl appearance against Mississippi State or a Cactus Bowl date with Kansas State in Tempe on December 26.

Athlon Sports also favors a Cactus Bowl destination for the team, projecting a game against Kansas State on that same December date.
