Matt Campbell’s Transfer Plan Fails As Penn State Stumbles

Matt Campbell attempted to overhaul his roster by bringing in twenty-four players from Iowa State, but the strategy has hit severe roadblocks in Big Ten play. Following an undefeated start against lower-tier opponents, the team stumbled with a blowout loss to Northwestern and a blown seventeen-point lead against Wisconsin, culminating in a defense that allowed four hundred thirteen rushing yards.

Now sitting at three wins and two losses overall while dropping their first two conference matchups, the squad faces mounting pressure ahead of a crucial contest against nineteenth-ranked USC. Head coach Matt Campbell noted that he must evaluate numerous aspects of his team, while observers from CBS Sports pointed out that the local fans in the stands are rapidly losing confidence.
