Penn State Receives Curious Power Ranking From ESPN After Loss to Wisconsin

Following a stunning home collapse against Wisconsin that dropped them from the Associated Press poll, the Penn State Nittany Lions landed at the twenty-fourth spot in ESPN's latest power rankings. Matt Campbell's squad surrendered a seventeen-point advantage and stumbled to a twenty-four to twenty defeat, raising questions about late-game defensive conditioning and offensive line struggles that hindered quarterback Rocco Becht.

With an upcoming Friday night matchup against Northwestern on the road, Penn State faces a crucial October schedule that also features contests against USC and Michigan. The team will need to drastically improve its ground game and pass protection after finishing with just one hundred nineteen rushing yards and a dismal passing performance last weekend.
