Pavel Sivakov bids farewell to UAE Team Emirates-XRG to link up with Tadej Pogačar's newest rival

Pavel Sivakov is departing UAE Team Emirates-XRG after a three-year stint to join Decathlon CMA CGM on a contract running through 2029. During his time supporting Tadej Pogačar, the twenty-nine-year-old Frenchman helped secure consecutive Tour de France victories in 2024 and 2025 alongside other notable results, including a ninth-place finish at the 2024 Vuelta a España and a victory at the Ruta del Sol.

Decathlon CMA CGM has also added Ben O'Connor and Laurens De Plus to the roster as part of an effort centered around young talent Paul Seixas. To accommodate these acquisitions, the team shifted its corporate headquarters to Switzerland to create financial flexibility under the wage limit before Sivakov's arrival ahead of the 2027 season.
