The New England Patriots suffered another setback along their offensive line during Sunday's matchup when starting right guard Greg Van Roten exited the contest due to a thigh injury during the second period. His status to come back remains uncertain.
Van Roten had stepped into the starting lineup for the first time this year to replace Mike Onwenu, who was placed on injured reserve earlier in the week because of an ankle problem.
Following Van Roten's departure, New England deployed Walter Rouse at the right guard position. Rouse transitioned from offensive tackle during the offseason and joined the team via a draft pick swap with the Minnesota Vikings prior to the final roster cuts.
The squad's remaining available linemen on game day consisted of Ben Brown alongside rookie offensive tackle Caleb Lomu.
