Pat McAfee teases surprise ‘College GameDay’ stop for first time since 2006

ESPN broadcaster Pat McAfee recently hinted that the popular college football pregame broadcast could make a long-awaited trip to Iowa City. During the weekend stop in Knoxville for a matchup featuring the Tennessee Volunteers, McAfee remarked that the Hawkeyes might host the program for the first time since September 2006 if they manage to defeat Michigan on Saturday.

The last time the pregame show set up on campus in Iowa City was nearly two decades ago during a loss to Ohio State, though the broadcast has since visited Ames for rivalry games against Iowa State.
