Pat McAfee’s ‘Field Pass’ coming to Super Bowl LXI and select ‘Monday Night Football’ games

Pat McAfee’s *Field Pass* altcast, which became a standout in college football after its 2024–25 debut, is expanding into the NFL with a Super Bowl LXI broadcast on ESPN in February. The show will also cover select *Monday Night Football* games starting October 19, with the Commanders vs.

49ers matchup kicking off the slate. McAfee’s crew will feature Dan Orlovsky for the NFL broadcasts, while AJ Hawk remains tied to the college version.

The altcast’s success—including a 2.4 million viewer draw for the 2026 Rose Bowl—helped secure ESPN’s commitment, marking the first Super Bowl produced by the network since ABC aired Super Bowl XL in 2006. McAfee’s growing NFL role follows his established presence on *College GameDay* and *Monday Night Countdown*, where he previews games he’ll now help broadcast from the sideline on select weeks.
